breaking up is hard to do

isn't it strange that when a couple breaks up, the intimacy between them is supposed to vanish into thin air?
where does the love go? think of all the exes you've ever had, the memories you had with them, the sex, the fights, the touches, the date nights, the laughter, the tears, the yelling, the baby talk and the knowing...where does it all go? how many people still talk to, let alone, are still friends with the people they used to be so close to? how do you come to know someone so well and learn forget them all the same?
